Bellfire is a family-owned, artist-crafted outdoor inn, offering a one-of-a-kind escape into nature. Nestled off-grid in the heart of the Catskills Mountains (Roxbury, NY), our retreat features four unique stays—two cozy canvas camps and two charming tiny cabins. Just three hours from New York City, our 10-acre sanctuary invites you to unwind among towering maple forests, a meandering mountain stream, and open wildflower fields. With a vast expanse of forest at your doorstep, there’s plenty of room to roam, explore, and reconnect with nature.

Our Camps and Cabins
We built Bellfire Camp sustainably from the ground up, with a deep respect for nature. Our goal is to minimize our impact on the land while creating an intimate, camp-like experience where you can disconnect and fully immerse yourself in this vibrant natural setting. Each site is fully furnished and includes a private fire pit, charcoal grill, cooler, outdoor furniture, and ample private space. Guests also have access to our cedar sauna with a continuously running, spring-fed cold plunge, a spacious floating yoga deck, and the surrounding forest, perfect for quiet exploration.

Welcome to Bellfire—a little hidden gem in the Great Western Catskills, where life slows down and simple joys take center stage. We’re tucked away on 10 peaceful acres, half maple forest, half wildflower meadow, right on the edge of endless wild forest waiting to be explored.
With almost no light pollution, the night sky is a wonder—just like you remember from childhood, when summer nights meant counting stars and chasing fireflies. A babbling brook winds through old stone walls and towering maples, and in the warmer months, the wildflower meadow comes alive with flickering fireflies, a fleeting kind of magic that brings back memories of carefree summer evenings.
We’ve added a floating deck in the middle of the meadow, a place to stretch out, soak up the sun, or just lie back and let your mind wander—no notifications, no to-do lists, just the sound of the breeze and the wide-open sky above.
Inside each dwelling, we’ve filled the space with locally sourced art, antiques, and little curiosities—things with a story, pieces with soul—to make it feel warm, familiar, and full of character.
