Escape to Bellfire, a hidden gem in the Great Western Catskills, perfect for weekend getaways, digital detox escapes and forest retreats. Nestled on 10 private acres, our off-grid glamping site blends maple forest and wildflower meadows, bordering state land with endless wilderness to explore.

With minimal light pollution, the night sky comes alive, offering some of the best stargazing in Upstate NY. Wander along old stone walls, follow a babbling brook through towering maples, and experience the magic of firefly season from May to July in our lovingly cared-for wildflower field.

Unwind in our cedar sauna house, then refresh in a spring-fed, continuously running cold plunge—a rejuvenating way to connect with nature. Relax on our floating deck, soak up the sun, or enjoy a peaceful picnic surrounded by nature.

About your hosts

Mina & Rich

We have been welcoming travelers at Bellfire since 2015 and are passionate about creating unique glamping and off-grid experiences for adventurers. We’ve had the pleasure of connecting with travelers from all over the continental US and abroad some of which we are proud to now call friends. We design, build and maintain all dwellings ourselves. We are your hosts, greeters, wood splitters, flower pickers, and are on the property throughout your stay to make sure you have a wonderful time. We built Bellfire sustainably, from ground up with a deep appreciation for nature and aim to intervene minimally with the land in order to create intimate, camp-like experiences and spaces that enable you to fully disconnect and experience this beautiful landscape where wildlife thrives and wildflowers grow.

Mina has a background in fine art photography & design, a passion for interior styling and a newfound appreciation for herbology, gardening & natural dyeing. Rich is a master woodworker and a prolific visual artist. His work spans mediums and styles from sculpture, installations, and relief paintings. Their talents combined gave birth to Bellfire, a uniquely built off-grid outdoor inn located in the Catskills Mountains.
